RegioKontext is a Berlin based institute and works in research and consulting on housing.

In addition to (research on) housing market monitoring for municipalities, federal states as well as federal ministries, RegioKontext also focus on issues such as housing policy and housing subsidies. In the past, we have been involved in several trans-European projects, e.g. in the context of social area monitoring and mapping for the German GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) in Sarajevo and in the Western Balkans or in the project Tenancy Law and Energetic Refurbishment in European Comparison. The development and implementation of data-driven monitoring concepts are among our recurring work priorities, especially in the field of housing market monitoring or social area development.

The costs of climate protection for tenants, landlords and owners have also been high on our agenda for about two years. This includes the discussion of effects on rents (including costs for heating and warm water in regard to rising CO2 prices), energy-efficient neighborhood concepts, (individual) mobility and connecting factors as well as framework conditions in the area of housing promotion and promotion of the energy transition.

Another focus of RegioKontext is research and consulting on the topic of employee housing. Under the auspices of tight housing markets in combination with a growing shortage of skilled workers, this traditional concept has been experiencing a renaissance in Germany for several years. RegioKontext has extensive practical experience and can provide comprehensive consulting support in the conception, needs assessment and implementation of projects for companies. We also provide advice for the housing industry (on implementation models), for politics (supporting framework conditions) and for housing subsidies (suitable subsidy conditions).

With our interdisciplinary team and the experience of more than 15 years of consulting and research we are able to accompany quantitative as well as qualitative processes. Our team is well-versed in the collection, evaluation and visualization of data. Furthermore, we appreciate the constructive exchange in the consulting practice or in the accompaniment, moderation and conception of processes and idea workshops (e.g. on the future of the single-family house or questions of more community orientation in the housing market). Whether in lectures, seminars or the production of videos and exhibitions: our experts have a great deal of experience in communicating housing policy knowledge and contexts.

We are always on the lookout for exciting projects in Germany and abroad and welcome inquiries about preliminary work and contributions, cooperation, the implementation of projects or the transfer of knowledge for issues relating to the German housing market.
